Immersion
One of the most important things within a game world is the immersion that the player feels when they are playing the game. As a game designer we want the users, play the game to be in love with it and for them to feel as if they are in the game world playing the game.
Player Interaction within a game World
Once the character is in the game world. He can complete story missions, side quests/missions, and help NPCs by completing their objectives. Apart from that, in-game world players can explore areas and locations (villages, towns and mysterious areas), go hunting for treasure, and mysterious valuable artifacts. Find magical artifacts, equipping which can be used as shield/damage buff during combat. Loot items from dead animals and humans.
Crafting
Search in for crafting’s items, consumable items. Crafting Items can be for example, Hunt a Deer and get its skin for Upgrading Weapon Holster.
Consumables
Consumable items can be for example, collect 5 Healing leaves to make Healing Potion or Healing Potion can be consumed during Combat or in any other situation, or find an apple tree, take the apple from the tree and eat it to restore health.
Exploration
Exploration can be visiting various mysterious locations, like a dark mountain where a deadly beast lives, where killing the beast will be rewarded great with in-game items.
Music and SFX
Sounds and music will be used to great effect to make the player experience more realistic and captivating. For example, BG music will be great for creating an ambient atmosphere for different areas, evoking emotion, and setting the player in a particular mindset as they progress in the game. Similarly, sounds can create emotional reactions (for example, situation based like fear when an approaching wild animal or an enemy, shock moment in a gameplay, relief moment when completing an objective) as well as tell the player more about the world. For example, the sound of a twig snapping can be made loud or quiet to give the player a sense that they are being stalked by something nearby/far away.
