Character Customization

Customization gives freedom to personalize game experience. This allows players to distinguish himself from one another in a manner that suits their personality and playstyle. Common customization options in RPG games are Character customization, Race selection, Class selection and Skill choice.

Races

In Warchain at first, the player will be asked to select one of the 7 available races. While browsing through different races, players can read a brief description about the race and their role in the game world. This will help players to select the correct race that suited them.

After deciding the race players also get an option to choose between Male and Female gender of their playable character.

Classes

Classes are defined by the abilities that the player will have. Also, based on their own playstyle, players can select which class they want to start with.

On selecting the race, the player gets an option to select the class of their playable character. While browsing through every class, the player gets to know about the stats distribution among all of the classes. This will help the player to select a class which suits their playstyle.

Classes are divided into four different groups.

The specific classes are still under construction. The below classifications are to provide a high-level model of which the future classes/subclasses will follow.

Tank

Tanks are powerful frontline warriors armed with a high-arm strength. A tank can hold the enemy's attention, soak up damage, protect allies from harm and break through any defense and many more.

DPS

DPS stands for Damage per Second and represents the average damage a character can cause each second. DPS are mostly engaged in the middle of a battle. They are quick in "hit-and-run" tactics that can either sap away enemies' health or kill them outright due to his ability to get in, do damage, and dash away before even being noticed.

Healer/Support

They are the magical members of the group, focusing on keeping friendly characters alive. Their main role is to heal/buff the fallen allies, poison/slow down the enemies for a short period of time using magic spells.

They normally do their damage from long range as they're usually susceptible to damage. Their ability to support allies makes them a harmonious part of any team.

Hybrid

Hybrid Classes are combinations of the above. For example, a mage may be able to build their class as a support or a DPS depending on the skills or subclassifications the player chooses. Or the player may decide to build their character as a hybrid that both partially fills the role of both support and DPS.

Character Customization

Once the class selection is done, players will go to the character customization menu, where players can customize their character’s overall facial structure details like facial features, skin colors, hairstyles, clothing and equipment.

Upgrade/Skill Tree (TBD)

Skill Tree is a hierarchical visual representation of upgrades that a player can make to their character.

It is unique as it encourages the player to take on a variety of skills and equip or upgrade them as necessary for different encounters.
